Knitting 101
This is a class for people that do not know how to knit or need a refresher. During this three-week class you will learn how to cast on (attaching yarn to the needle), knit, purl, cast off and learn different stitch patterns. You will make a scarf and a knit and purl wash cloth sampler. *Skills needed- NONE* Price: $40 / 3 sessions.

Knitting 102
This is the next step after learning the basics in knitting 101. We will make a hat, bias washcloth and a Fan and Feather lace scarf. Don’t let turning heels or toe decreases scare you! Learn the anatomy of basic sock construction. You will be using worsted weight yarn and #5 Dpns to make comfy house sock. Color with the Works
Do you want to break free of single colors and plain stripes? We will show you the ins and outs of color working. Mobius
In this class you will learn the basic skills of Moebius knitting. Moebius knitting is knitting in the round with a twist all while knitting from the center out. This is a fun technique and move quickly so you can have a scarf or wrap done in no time flat.

Hand Dyed Yarns
This is a long class but a fun one. You will learn how to hand dye your own yarns. We will spend the day learning how to prepare yarn skeins, mix dyes, use a couple techniques to apply color. No Skill Required. $65/ 1 session.

Nuno Felting
Using dyed rovings, yarn snippets and threads we will create a design on a piece of silk gauze then apply soap, water and agitation to make the applied embellishments adhere to the silk. Finished scarf will still be wet when class is done so students should bring a gallon size zip lock type bag to put scarf into after class. Students should also bring 2 beach towels. No Skills Required Price 1 session/ $65.

Knit One Weave Too is finally moving into the technology age. We now have a facebook fan page. Just type "Knit One Weave Too" in the search box on facebook to find us. Join up to get fast updates on yarn, sales and events.

Our website is now live. K1W2.com It is so exciting. We have an updated list of classes on our calendar. Also on the calendar are events in the community. There are pictures of events and projects. Send us pictures of your project new or old to display in our gallery.

Spring has sprung up with a fury. We have new sock yarns from Pagewood Farms and Claudia Handpaint for warmer weather knitting. Knit One is now carrying Vivid Allon basket. They perfect for carring projects, purse and even a lunch. The are also a great way to carry goodies from the Saturday markets.

Learn to Knit For the Summer

I wanted to post that we are offering a Learn To Knit in July. The dates are July 14, 21 and 28th from 6-8 pm. Linda G. will be teaching the class.

Our Learn to Knit is made for people that have never touch needles and for those that haven't knitted in ages and want a refresher course. You will learn how to Cast on (Getting yarn onto the needle), Knit, Purl, Stitch patterns and how to Bind off (Getting the project off the needles safely).

You will have 2 ongoing projects. The first night you will start on a scarf and learn how to Cast on and Knit. The second night you will work with cotton and make a wash cloth sampler of different stitches. The last night Linda G. will show you how to Bind Off and help with any problem that may come up.

Megan and I have were in Columbus, Ohio for TNNA (The National Needle Arts Association). We took classes, meet new people, had Jenni ice cream and shopped like crazy for the shop. We are now starting to get in some of the new accessories.

In the first 2 week you will make the Coriolis sock which has a short row heel and a unique spiral pattern around your foot. In the last 2 weeks you will start a new sockitecture and make a sock with 2 toes. One toe will turn in to your heel after you have cut your stitches called steeking. 3. If you could give us 48 hours or more notice of cancellation we will give you store credit for amount paid. Cancellation with 47 or less hours are subject to a $5 processing fee if seat is not filled. 4. The max is 6 students & the min is 3, unless teacher gives consent. 5. At time of registration a supply list & or an assignment to be completed before class may be issued. Other wise you can pick up your supplies on the first class date. 6. Supplies purchased at K1W2 will receive a discount. 7. Out of Respect for fellow students & the teacher, please arrive on time. If you are tardy please understand that your time will not be made up after class time has ceased. 8. This is a class for people that do not know how to knit or need a refresher. During this three-week class you will learn how to cast on (attaching yarn to the needle), knit, purl, cast off and learn different stitch patterns. My First Sweater Linda
This class will introduce you to knitting raglan sweaters from the top down. You will have the choice of cardigan, V-neck or a pull over. This technique enables you to try the sweater on as you knit, allowing for adjustments as you go. The sweater can be knit in any size at any gauge.

Woven Tote Basket The Browns: Jen and Yevette
We all have tons of yarn and projects to carry around. This tote bag is the perfect size to carry all your project on the go. This class is a fabulous introduction into basket weaving by skilled basket weavers. You will create a tote basket with leather handles. Space is limited and filling quickly.
