Fall Winter Classes

Knitting 101
This is a class for people that do not know how to knit or need a refresher. During this three-week class you will learn how to cast on (attaching yarn to the needle), knit, purl, cast off and learn different stitch patterns. You will make a scarf and a knit and purl wash cloth sampler. *Skills needed- NONE* Price: $40 / 3 sessions.

Knitting 102
This is the next step after learning the basics in knitting 101. We will make a hat, bias washcloth and a Fan and Feather lace scarf. In these projects you will learn circular knitting, working double points, increasing, decreasing, pattern reading and basic lace knitting. *Skills (C on, C off, K, P)* Price $ 40 / 3 sessions.

Crocheting 101
You will learn to make the basics stitches, change color and read stitch patterns. You will make a sampler, small project such as scarf and a crochet flower. *Skills needed- NONE* Price: $30 + supplies for 2 sessions.

Socks that Rock
Don’t let turning heels or toe decreases scare you! Learn the anatomy of basic sock construction. You will be using worsted weight yarn and #5 Dpns to make comfy house sock. Once you have made your first pair you will have the confidence to make socks out of smaller with yarns. *Skills (Con,C off, K,P )* Price- $40.00 /3 sessions.

Color with the Works
Do you want to break free of single colors and plain stripes? We will show you the ins and outs of color working. You will learn the basics, of attaching new yarn, floating, and recognizing your stitches and reading charts. Bead Knitting
Add sparkling dimension into your knitting by including well placed beads. We will make a beaded necklace. Skills (C on, C off, K,P, K in Rnd)* Price $45 Included class and Kit.

Beaded Ornament
We will make a beautiful beaded ornament. This project is a quicker than you think knit. They make wonderful presents. In this class we will learn how to incorporate beads into your knitting. Cables
The simple addition of cables can enhance your knitting but adding complexity, and texture to your project. This beautiful cable scarf is the perfect introduction to cable knitting. Entrelac
We will make a scarf that will teach you the basic techniques to make this woven fabric. We will also show you how purl with out turning. *Skills (C on, C off, K,P)* Price $ 15 / 1 session

Brioche
Brioche knitting is a family of knitting patterns involving tucked stitches. These tucked in stitches form an extra layer of knitting. We will learn how to create these stitches while we knit a 2 colored hat. *Skills (C on, C off, K,P)* Price $ 25 / 2 session

Mobius
In this class you will learn the basic skills of Moebius knitting. Moebius knitting is knitting in the round with a twist all while knitting from the center out. This is a fun technique and move quickly so you can have a scarf or wrap done in no time flat.

Beaded Stitch Markers
Learn 3 wire wrapping techniques use to make beaded stitch markers. No skill required. Price includes class, supplies and use of tools. 1 session / $20

Loafers
This is the #1 slipper pattern on Raverly for a good reason. It's the great gift for the person you don't know what to get. It's make with chunky yarn and bigger needle. In the class we will work through the step to make this great slipper. *Skills (C on, C off, K,P)* Price $ 15 / 1session

Hand Dyed Yarns
This is a long class but a fun one. You will learn how to hand dye your own yarns. We will spend the day learning how to prepare yarn skeins, mix dyes, use a couple techniques to apply color. No Skill Required. $65/ 1 session.

Nuno Felting
Using dyed rovings, yarn snippets and threads we will create a design on a piece of silk gauze then apply soap, water and agitation to make the applied embellishments adhere to the silk. Finished scarf will still be wet when class is done so students should bring a gallon size zip lock type bag to put scarf into after class.  Students should also bring 2 beach towels. No Skills Required Price 1 session/ $65.

Damson Shawl
This elegant and east to knit shawl is great introduction into shawl and lace knitting. Over the 6 weeks you will learn steps the different techniques that are used in this shawl. *Skills (C on, C off, K,P)* Price $ 40 / 3 session

Thrum Mittens
Thrum mittens are knitted with small pieces of roving in the stitches. These mittens are super warm and wonderfully soft inside. Make them for gifts or to spoil yourself. *Skills (C on, C off, K,P)* Price $ 40 / 3 session.

UFO
We all have them, Unfinished Objects. This class is for those project that you have started and you can't remember what row you last knitted or that has a dropped stitch. This is an open knit class. Stay for an hour or for 4. This not a class to start a new project. *Skills (C on, C off, K,P)* Price $ 15 / 1 session.
